A Brief History

Miramar, meaning ‘to behold the sea,’ takes its name from its remarkable location on one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in California. Completely reimagined and newly constructed, Rosewood Miramar Beach has revitalized the site of the former Miramar by the Sea, a once-cherished destination that closed its doors nearly 20 years ago.

Décor

Inspired by the beautiful homes and grand estates of Montecito, Rosewood Miramar Beach was manifested from owner Rick J. Caruso’s idea of a sprawling Montecito estate that grew over time, in tandem with the growth of a family – an homage to the genesis of the original property. The interior design of the property’s guestrooms and suites was a collaboration between two internationally renowned designers: Diane Johnson and Nancy Corzine.
